Meet the team

Henry began working in education over a decade ago when he trained to become an English Teacher. In 2018 he completed his level 3 Forest School leader training and began working his way out of the mainstream system. He now works full time as a Forest School leader, 1:1 mentor and tutor.

He has a lot of experience working with young people in all kinds of situations and settings, but the one thing that he loves the most about this role is that the learning never ends and he is constantly discovering new ways to work with young people in the outdoors.

Henry and Rahima have been working together since 2018 when Henry joined the team at Bristol Woodland Adventure - the Forest School Holiday Club that Rahima began in 2016 and the longest running of Heartwood's projects.

Since then Henry and Rahima have worked together to co-create, facilitate and sustain meaningful Forest School and Nature Connection projects in Bristol, but they each have a rich background of educational experience that has led them to where they are now.
